General Health and safety
It’s important for travelers to prioritize their health before any trip. We recommend scheduling an appointment with your healthcare provider at least four to six weeks before your departure. Even if time is limited, this appointment is valuable as it allows for an assessment of potential health risks based on factors like your destination, medical history, and planned activities. For those with existing health conditions, an earlier appointment is advisable.

All travelers should ensure they have adequate travel health insurance.
Malaria Prevention
We strongly advise travelers to take prescription medication to prevent malaria. Depending on the medication prescribed, you may need to start taking it several days before your trip, continue during your stay, and after your return. Consult your doctor to determine the most suitable malaria medication for you.
Yellow Fever Vaccination
Under International Health Regulations, all travelers aged 9 months and above are required to have a yellow fever vaccination certificate to enter the DRC.
COVID-19 Requirements
As of now, there are no specific COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements for travelers entering the DRC. However, we recommend staying informed about any updates or changes in regulations.
